Two persons were killed as the driver of a bus of Adnan and Arida Paribahan lost control of the vehicle and collided head on with another bus on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at the Goal Chattar of Shayestaganj under Habiganj district on Tuesday morning. The deads were the helper of Adnan and Arida Paribahan and a pedastrian. At least 10 pedasterians were also killed in the accident.
Eye witness sources informed, a bus named Raja and sons from Sylhet reached near the Goal Chattar area when another Comilla bound bus of Adnan and Arida Paribahan collided with the bus when the driver of the later lost control of the vehicle. Two persons were killed on the spot.
Toufiqul Islam Toufique, Officer-in-charge of Shayestaganj Highway police station informed,, police was working to determine names and identities of the deadpersons. The injured persons have been sent to various local hospital for treatment.
