Police in a drive arrested two people with around one and a half kilogram of heroin from Police Line area in the town last night.
Superintendent of Police (SP), Natore Liton Kumar Saha said this at a press conference in his office here this noon. The detained persons were identified as Md Belal Uddin, 45, and Md Abdul Mannan, 47. Both were residents of Rajshahi district.
Liton Kumar Saha said, on information, they nabbed the duo and recovered 15 packets full of heroin worth about Taka 1.5 crore after searching a Jamalpur-bound microbus in the area around 11 pm. A case was filed on Saturday under the Narcotics Control Act in this connection.
