Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) seized 36 kilograms of contraband ganja and arrested two presumed drug traders from Kochakata area under Kochakata Thana of Kurigram district on Thursday night.
"On a tip-off, the Crime Prevention Specialised Company of RAB-13 arrested the two men with the ganja and two mobile phone sets," said a press release issued today by Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-13 Flight Lieutenant Mahmud Bashir Ahmed.
The arrested persons are Md. Tazul Islam, 37, and Md. Nur Islam, 18, of Kochakata area under Kochakata Thana. During primary interrogation, the arrested persons admitted that they had been involved in trading drugs for a long time.
