Police have arrested two people on separate rape charges in Boalkhali upalzila of Chattogram.
The arrestees were identified as Shimul Dey, 32, of Shakpura Union in Boalkhali Upazila and Haji Fazal Karim, 65, of Charkhijirpur in West Gomdandi.
were arrested on Saturday night for raping a teenager.
Officer-in-Charge of Boalkhali Police Station OC Abdul Karim the arrests were made on Saturday night after two incidents of rapes were reported to police from Charkhijirpur and Shakpura Baruartek.
The victim from Charkhijirpur area worked at the house of her neighbour Fazal Karim.
On Friday, Fazal Karim called her to his house and raped her.
In another incident, one Shimul Dey raped a 12-year-old girl in Shakpura Baruartek area. Police arrested the perpetrator after the victim’s mother filed a case with Boalkhali Police Station, OC Karim said.
