Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two life-term convicts in a narcotics case from Tongi Purbo Thana area last night.
The arrested persons are identified as- Md Monirul Islam, 35, of Rajshahi Poba Thana area and Md Masud Rana, 21, hailing from Mymensingh's Haluaghat.
On a tip-off, members of RAR-2 conducted a drive in Tongi Purbo Thana area in Gazipur and arrested them around 8:00pm last night, RAB senior assistant director (Media) Senior ASP Shihab Karim told BSS today.
"On June 28, 2018, they were arrested with 195 bottles of Phensidyl. A case was filed with Uttara West Thana in this regard.
They were absconding after securing bail," he said. They were handed over to Uttara West Thana today, the RAB official said.
