Two fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed after testing 16 new samples at the positivity rate of 12.50 percent in Rangpur division on Wednesday.
"With the diagnosis of the two fresh cases, the number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,913 in the division," Divisional Director (Health) Dr Abu Zakirul Islam said. The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,212 as no infected patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today in the division.
The number of casualties remained steady at 1,289 as no new death was reported during the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, more 6,397 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Wednesday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore 11 lakh 81 thousand and 93 doses in the division.
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,36,50,424 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,30,40,767 as the second doses and 44,89,902 as the booster doses," Dr. Islam added.
