Police of Jhenaidah arrested two fraudsters with cash amount of Taka 62 thousand from Abhoynagar upazila in Jashore on Saturday night. They had been cheating the members and chairmen of union parishads in Jashore and Jhenaidah for a long.
The matter was disclosed by Jhenaidah police on Sunday noon at the office of the superintendent of police (SP).
Additional police super Abul Bashar in a press briefing said, Uzzal Hossain, son of Rafiqul Islam Khokan of Baganchra village and Jahidul Islam, son of Shamsuzzoha under Benapole port police station had been cheating the members and chairmen of Jashore and Jhenidah for a long. The driver ws conducted following a case filed by Rpygram union parisad member Rabiul Islam on December 1 with Kaliganj police staion.
The police official said the duo had identified themselves as police men to 20 and demnded handsome figure to members and chairmen of Jashore and Jhenidah districts identified them as police men. Their attempts were success in seven spots and collected huge money.
Kaliganj police staion sub inspector Jakaria along with probessionary sub inspector Ashiqul with the assistance of Abhoynagar olice staion personnel conducted drives at Alamdanga village in sae upazila and mnaged to nab Uzzal Hossain and Jahidul with huge cash Taka 62 thousand and other belongings.
