Police, in a drive, detained two drug peddlers along with 250 bottles of contraband phensedyl syrup in Jibannagar Upazila of Chuadanga on Wednesday.
The detainees are: Rashedul Islam, 32, son of Shamsul Haque, hailed from Subulpur village of the upazila and Saiful Islam, 25, son of Jahurul Haque, hailed from Medenipur Village of the Upazila in Chuadanga.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jibannagar Police Station Sheikh Gani Miah said acting on a tip off, a team of police conducted a drive beside Subulpur Primary School at 8am.
At that time, they recovered 250 bottles of contraband phensedyl syrup and detained two drug traders.
