Department of Narcotics Control arrested two drug dealers in separate drives on Friday from different places in the port city Chattogram.
The arrested are Mohammad Shakil Hossain, 25, son of Mohammad Azimuddin of Begumpur Village under Kaliakour Upazila of Gazipur and Mohammad Khokon Sheikh, 45, son of late Hossain Uddin of Enayetpur area under Kashimpur upazila of Gazipur City Corporation.
Assistant Director of Department of Narcotics Control Chattogram Metro(South) Somen Mandal confirmed the matter.
Somen Mondal said, Acting on a tip off, the members of the department on Friday conducted a rsid in Khulshi area and arrested Shakil from a Dhaka-bound Saudia Paribahan bus and arrested Khokon Sheikh from another Dhaka-bound Ena Paribahan bus at Karnaphuli police station.
A total of 1940 pieces of yaba was seized from their possessions.
