Two die, 67 more test positive for Covid-19 in Bhola

A total of 67 more people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours till Thursday in Bhola district after testing 256 samples at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital COVID-19 laboratory, reports BSS. 

Among the newly detected cases, 51 are from Sadar upazila, four from Borhanuddin upazila, one from Manpura upazila, seven from Charfashion upazila, one from Lalmohan upazila and three from Daulatkhan upazila of the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr. K M Shafiquzzaman, told BSS on Thursday afternoon. 

Meanwhile, two persons have died with coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours in the district, he said. The total number of infected people in the district stands at 5,967 while the number of recovery cases stands at 4,551, the civil surgeon said. A total of 75 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, he added. 

Dr K M Shafiquzzaman said some 63 infected persons are now undergoing treatment at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital, rest of the infected persons are now undergoing treatment at home quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes. 

The health expert of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
