A two-day income tax fair started on Monday (November 22) on the premises of the Faculty of Business Studies of Dhaka University (DU).
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the fair in the morning as the chief guest.
At this time, Chairman of the National Board of Revenue Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Munim, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Dr Muhammad Abdul Moin, DU Teachers Association President Professor Dr Rahmat Ullah, General Secretary Professor Dr Nizamul Haque Bhuiyan, Registrar Prabir Kumar Sarkar, President and General Secretary of DU Officers’ Association, teachers and officials of the university and officials of the NBR were present.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman said that in this fair organised at Dhaka University, all including teachers, officers and employees of the university will be able to easily submit their
income tax returns and receive related services.
He hoped that in the development of the country, as a dignified citizen, everyone would be self-motivated to pay taxes and turn tax payment activities into a culture.
The Vice-Chancellor thanked the concerned people for organizing the fair on the campus of Dhaka University as an initiative to expand the scope of the Income Tax Fair.
