Two corona testing labs inaugurated in Noakhali

Corona sample test has started from monday in the labs of Noakhali Abdul Malek Ukil Medical College and Noakhali University of Science and Technology. Local MP Ekramul Karim Chowdhury inaugurated the labs through video conference at the Deputy Commissioner's Office on Monday noon. 

Deputy Commissioner Tanmoy Das, Civil Surgeon Md. Mominur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police Nabo Jyoti Khisha and others were present at the time.

Later, on behalf of Ekramul Karim Foundation, the MP donated a total of Tk 4 lakh to the family members of two  journalist and six policemen who died from corona infection.

Besides, he gave a grant of Tk 2,50,000 for the journalists working in the district. He handed over a check for a grant of Tk 14 lakh for the purchase of agricultural machinery for agricultural expansion in Subarnachar and a grant of Tk 10 lakh for delivery of food items to the middle class in  Maijdi municipal town at the time.

At the time, Noakhali-4 constituency MP Ekramul Karim Chowdhury said, all of us should be aware otherwise this virus will destroy us. He requested everyone to stay at home and to follow the hygiene rules.

Earlier, MP Ekramul Karim Chowdhury had provided financial assistance of Tk 2 lakh to the family of deceased doctor Moin Uddin, Tk 50,000 each for the family of journalist Humayun Kabir Khokon and police constable Jasim Uddin and Tk 5 lakh for setting up a corona test lab at Noakhali University of Science and Technology. 

He also provided financial assistance of Tk 80 lakh for food distribution and medical equipment worth Tk 10 lakh to fight corona crisis in the district.
