Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Ramis Sen paid a courtesy on Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Mohammad Atiqul Islam at DNCC headquarts on Thursday afternoon.
During the meeting, the ambassador expressed his interest in working to improve the quality of slum children’s life with special needs living in the DNCC area.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador thanked the DNCC Mayor for standing by Turkey, which was hit by a strong earthquake last February, with humanitarian aid.
At that time DNCC Mayor Md. Atiqul Islam said, "Due to the impact of climate change, numerous climate refugees enter Dhaka city every day. Slum dwellers are constantly facing various challenges.So, we need support to improve the quality of life of children with special needs in the slums under DNCC”.
