Truck driver’s family gets support before Janaza

The leaders of Jhenaidah district truck, tank lorry, covered van workers union had set an example by handing over a cheque for an amount of Taka 90 thousand to the family members of late truck driver Amir Hossain Sheikh at village Jhaudia under Shailkupa municipality on Tuesday. Eldest son of Amir Hossain Sheikh received the cheque in-favour of the family.

Jhenidah district truck, tank lorry, covered van workers union general secretary Jahangir Alam Sagar said Amir Hossain Sheikh had died in the night of July 13 night suffering from cancer at his throat. He was buried at the village grave yard on the next morning.  

As per the rules of Jhenaidah district truck, tank lorry, covered van workers union, the money was sanctioned immediately after the death. The union leaders presenting themselves at the house of their colleague, handed over the cheque to the family members before namaje janaja.

The family members were also assured of all possible cooperation for Amir’s wife and two sons studying in university and school.

Publicity secretary of the union Sheikh Rabiul Islam, treasurer Shahidul Islam among others  present during the time, Jahangir Alam Sagar said.
