Tributes paid to Bangabandhu

Jatiya Press Club (JPC), SME Foundation, Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel and Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Division ABM Amin Ullah Nuri paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

They paid the rich tributes Bangabandhu by placing wreaths at his grave at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Friday.  

Members of JPC managing committee led by its President Farida Yeasmin and General Secretary Shyamol Dutta placed a floral wreath at the mausoleum of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the architect of Bangladesh's independence.

JPC former president and Jugantor editor Saiful Alam, JPC Vice-president Rezwanul Haque Raza, Joint General Secretaries Ayub Bhuiyan and Ashraf Ali, executive committee members Kazi Rawnak Hossain, Shahnaz Siddiqui Soma, Kallyan Saha and Zulhas Alam, and other senior journalists were present.

A special doa was offered seeking eternal peace of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15, 1975 carnage as well as martyrs of the War of Liberation. JPC President Farida Yeasmin and Secretary Shyamol Dutta signed the visitors' book there.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel placed a wreath at the mausoleum of Bangabandhu at Tungipara in Gopalganj. 

After laying the wreath, the deputy minister stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation. 

Later, he offered munajat seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975. 

A special prayer was offered seeking longevity of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members. 

The deputy minister signed the visitors' book at the Tungipara Mausoleum Complex.

Gopalganj Zilla Parishad Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Advocate Munshi Md. Atiyar Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education & IT) Md. Golam Kabir, Tungipara Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Al Mamun, Tungipara Upazila Awami League General Secretary Md. Babul Sheikh, Municipal Mayor Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul, Tungipara Municipal Awami League President Sheikh Saiful Islam, its General Secretary Forkan Biswas, a large number of leaders and workers of Awami League and allied organization, among others, were present.

On the other hand, Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Division ABM Amin Ullah Nuri along with others joined a special prayer after paying rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreath at his grave at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

President of National Association of Small and Cottage Industries of Bangladesh Mirza Nurul Goni Shovan, SME Foundation Deputy Managing Director Salah Uddin Mahmud (Retired Additional Secretary), its Director General Anwar Hossain Chowdhury (Additional Secretary), A K M Sajedur Rahman Khan Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank and Director of SME Foundation, Directors Md. Rashedul Karim Munna, Shahedul Islam, Swarnlata Roy, Shamim Ahmed and Mantasha Ahmed, among others, were present.
