Tribute paid to Sholakia militant attack victims

 A militant attack of histroric Sholakia Eidgah before the Eid-ul-Fitr congregation tributes were paid to those killed on a check post in front of the Mufti Mohammad Ali Jame Mosque adjacent to Azim Uddin High School on the west side of Sholakia Eidgah. 

On this occasion, the victims were commemorated with a bouquet of flowers at the mentioned place on Thursday morning.

Police Super Mashrukur Rahman Khaled laid a wreath at the temporary shrine built in memory of the victims. Later he paid a courtesy call on 

the families of those killed in the militant attack. 

In that time Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shamim Alam, Zila Parished Administrator Md. Zillur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education & ICT) Mohammad Golam Mostafa, District Awami League General Secretary Advocate M.A Afzol, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Eidgah Committee Secretary Mohammad Ali Siddique, Kishoreganj Municipality Mayor Md. Parvez Miah, Additional Police Super (Admin) Mustak Sarker, Additional Police Super (Crime) Nur-e-Alam, Additional Police Super Anirban Chowhdury, Additional Police Super (Sadar Circle) Al-Amin, Kishoreganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Doud and others officials were also present.

Note that the militant attack took place in front of the mosque adjacent to Azim Uddin High School on the west side of Sholakia Eidgah before the Eid Jamaat started on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr on July 7, 2016. Police constables Ansarul Haque, Zahirul Islam, housewife Jharna Rani Bhowmik, wife of local resident Gouranga Debnath and a militant named Abir Rahman, who took part in the attack, were killed on the spot.
