An indigenous girl was allegedly raped by two men in BSCIC industrial area of Feni on Sunday night. On information, police detained the suspects on Monday morning.
The detainees are- rickshaw-puller Riaz, 26, son of Sadek from Jagbandhu village under Kamalnagar police station in Lakshmipur district, and a local barber Choton Chandra Shil, son of Samir Chandra Shil from Dharmapur area under Sitakunda in Chattogram.
Feni Model police station Inspector (probe) Mohammad Omar Haidar said that the 18-year old girl, hailing from Khagrachari, came to Feni to visit her friend on Sunday night.
After getting down from a bus, she hired a rickshaw pulled by Riaz. After moving different places, when the rickshaw puller reached in front of a decoration shop in Dewanganj Muktar Bari and he raped the girl there, he added. When the rickshaw puller left her alone in Kathbella area, Chhotan then took her to a shop and raped her, Omar said.
Later, a patrol team of police found the girl and brought her to the station. During interrogation, the girl informed them about rape incidents and police detained the accused, the inspector added.
