Trees planted in Ramu Cant marking Mujib Barsho

A tree plantation programme was held at the newly constructed central mosque premises of Ramu Cantonment in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 

A total of100 different types of fruit and forest tree saplings were planted at the mosque premises.

According to the Cantonment sources, on June 17 in 2020, Chief of Army Staff inaugurated the newly constructed Ramu Cantonment Central Mosque through video teleconference. 

Following this, a tree planting programme was organised in the mosque premises on Sunday.

GOC of 10 Infantry Division and Area Commander Cox's Bazar Area Major General Md Mayeen Ullah Chowdhury OSP, AWC, PSC was present as the chief guest. 

It is to be noted that army personnel of all ranks including senior officers of the cantonment participated in the tree planting programme.
