A tree planting program and discussion meeting was organized by the initiative of Noajishpur Union's Sports Education Institute. Saplings of fruit, timber and medicinal trees were planted at various locations across the union on Monday afternoon.
Social worker Mohammad Selim Uddin inaugurated the program as the chief guest. In his chief guest's speech, he said, "Trees are an integral part of our lives. Just as a tree provides shade, it also plays a major role in protecting the environment. Therefore, I urge everyone to plant at least one tree."
Belal Hossain Manik, Acting Chairman of Noajishpur Union Parishad, was present as the special guest. He said, "Such social and environmentally friendly initiatives will raise awareness among our younger generation."
Teachers and students of the Sports Education Institute and local dignitaries were present at the event.
