On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a program of planting 1 crore saplings across the country was inaugurated on Thursday.
Trees have been planted in Bogura as well as across the country with the slogan 'Call for Mujib Year, Plant Trees, Grow Forests'. As part of this fruit and medicinal plants were planted at Bogra Municipal Edward Park at 11am on Thursday.
Bogura DC Md. Ziaul Haque inaugurated the program while District AL unit President Mojibur Rahman Majnu and Divisional Forest Officer Subedar Islam were present there. Different species of trees were planted at the initiative of Bogura forest department at the time.
