Tree planted in Ctg marking Sheikh Kamal’s birthday

Trees have been planted in Chittagong to mark the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and 71st birth anniversary of his eldest son Sheikh Kamal.

On the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu and 71st birth anniversary of Sheikh Kamal, the Department of Youth Development had planned to plant 1 lakh fruit, forest and medicinal plants in Chittagong.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Elias Hossain inaugurated the program by planting mango saplings at the Youth Development Department office in Halishahar on Wednesday.

Superintendent of Police SM Rashidul Haque was the special guest at the event jointly organized by Chittagong District Administration and Chittagong Youth Development Department. Deputy Director of the Department of Youth Development Saleh Ahmed Chowdhury presided over the function.

In this program on virtual platform, all the district and upazila level offices of the Department of Youth Development took part in the tree planting activities simultaneously.
