A tree plantation programme was inaugurated in Chuadanga town on Monday. The inaugural ceremony was held at police lines. The tree plantation program was inaugurated by Jahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police on the day.
Jahidul Islam, SP said at the session that tree is natural wealth. The trees keep balance of environment and help to refresh of lives. Md. Abu Tarek, Additional Superintendent of Police (Admn), Konok Kumar Das, Additional Superintendent of Police , Md. Mazedul Hoque, Regional Chief Manager of British America Tobacco of Jhenedah, Md. Kamal Hossain, Area Chief Manager of British America Tobacco were present at the session.
According to press release of Police Super Office, about 5,000 various saplings of tree will be planted at different areas of police’s land in Chuadanga.
