A tree plantation and sapling distribution programme was inaugurated in Noajishpur under the initiative of the Raozan Upazila administration, in collaboration with the Noajishpur Union Parishad and affiliated organisations of the Union BNP.
The event took place on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Union Parishad premises. Acting Chairman of Noajishpur Union Parishad, Belal Hossain Manik, and former Finance Secretary of the Northern District Jubo Dal, Selim Uddin, officially inaugurated the programme.
The ceremony was attended by Union Parishad administrative officer Abdur Rahim; UP members Mohammad Bashar, Kazi Rehena Akter, Jinnat Ara Begum, and Aminul Islam Daulat; BNP leaders Shahabuddin, Sarowar Shahed, Nurul Aslam Kaiser, Ershadul Islam, Abu Zafar, Kashem Saudagar; Jubo Dal leaders Mohammad Siraj, Nurul Amin Kalu, Mohammad Faisal, Gazi Morshed, Mohammad Mamun, Mohammad Abu Ahmed, Mohammad Rubel, Jalal Uddin Saku, Mohammad Babu, and Mohammad Nur Kashem, among others.
Speakers highlighted the importance of tree plantation in combating climate change and preserving the environment. They urged every household to plant at least one fruit or forest tree to ensure a greener and more liveable environment for future generations. The event concluded with guests planting fruit saplings at various locations across the union.
