An organisation named Nirapod Sarak Gorte Chai (NSGC) held transport owners responsible for increasing accidents across the country.
The NSGC, an organisation working for awareness building against road accidents, at a press conference held on Wednesday at Dhaka Reporters Unity, claimed that drivers of public transports just follow instructions given by owners.
At the press conference, NSGC president Md. Jamal, who is also a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver, said, over speeding, driving by drunk persons, violation of traffic rules, overlooking of traffic signals, talking over phone while driving, avoiding of safety gears, overtaking and over speeding are among the reasons behind accidents. He said, most of the road users are aware of general rules and safety measures excepting for a few portion of road users. Accidents mainly occurs due to human errors, he said.
