A three-day special training workshop has been inaugurated for police members of various ranks of the Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) to carry out election duties smoothly and professionally.
CMP Commissioner Hasib Aziz, BPM, formally inaugurated the training workshop at the CMP In-Service Training Center on Saturday morning.
Speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony, the CMP Commissioner said, "As performing duties in the national election is a matter of pride for police members, it is also a big responsibility. The role of the police is very important in organizing fair, peaceful and acceptable elections. Your professional skills, patience and decision-making ability will be further strengthened through the training. I hope that you will perform your duties with dedication, honesty and utmost professionalism. Earning the trust of the people while performing election duties will be our biggest success."
Special sessions will be held on election-time duty strategies, public relations, crisis management, use of modern technology and proper implementation of the law in this three-day training.
CMP Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) Md. Humayun Kabir; Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic) Md. Asfiquzzaman Akhter; Deputy Police Commissioner (Sadar) Muhammad Faisal Ahmed and other senior officials of CMP were present at the time.
