A five day-long training for the teachers on new academic curriculum was started at Kanchannagar Model School and College auditorium in Jhenaidah on Thursday. Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila education office organized the training course where Jhenaidah government Keshab Chandra College (KC) College principal Professor Ashoke Kumar Moulik attended as chief guest.
District education officer (DEO) Sheikh Manirul Islam, upazila secondary education officer Mohammad Qamruzzaman, Kanchannagar model school and college principal Pradip Kumar Biswas, Bangladesh teachers association president Mohammad Mahiuddin and Jhenaidah press club publicity secretary Shameemul Islam attended as special guests.
Upazila secondary education office sources said a total of 1,060 teachers have been participating in the training on introducing new curriculum for the students of class six and seven throughout the upazila.
A total of 17 thousand teachers were provided six-day training on the component as Master trainer throughout the country who have been proving training to the teachers so that they could complete the course staying in respective upazila.
In the presidential speech as chief guest principal Professor Ashoke Kumar Moulik said the education-friendly government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina desires to made the education system international standard so that the students can compete the global competition in education and knowledge.
The system will be introduced with modern education techniques which will no need to go to either private tuition or coaching centre for any of the learners as they will be ensured appropriate education knowledge in the schools.
