In order to hold the forthcoming general elections in a free and fair manner, a daylong training workshop was held in the auditorium of Gaibandha Government College of the town here Thursday.
The objective of the training is to build up their capacity so that they could perform their electoral duties properly.
Sadar upazila election officer Saiful Islam and Palashbari upazila election officer formally conducted the training as resource persons.
A total of 175 polling agents assigned by 35 candidates from five constituencies here took part in the training workshop in batches.
