The engine of a special train heading to Cox's Bazar derailed at Dulahazara station of Chakaria upazila in Cox's Bazar on Wednesday.
The incident took place at 10 am. Later in the afternoon, the train movement gradually returned to normal.Cox's Bazar Iconic Railway Station Master Golam Rabbani confirmed the matter to the media.
The station master said that the Eid special train, which left Chattogram at 7 am for Cox's Bazar, was derailed while entering Dulahazara station. The engine and two coaches were derailed. However, no casualties were reported in the incident. Rescue operations were ongoing. Now, the train movement is normal on the railway line.
