Panchagarh: As the sky is clear, the second highest snow-capped mountain in range of Asia, Kangchenjunga, spreads its wings.
Although its distance from Tentulia in Panchagarh to Kangchenjunga is about 120 to 130 kilometers, the mountain city of Darjeeling in India and the Himalayas can be seen very clearly from Tentulia, which is about 70 to 90 kilometers away. Now tourists have started to flock to Tentulia.
Nusrat Jahan Julie, Dalia and Rubel, who came from Rajshahi to see Kangchenjunga, said that they had come here along with some friends the previous year, but could not see the Kangchenjunga. Howvere, this time they are very happy to see the beautiful scenery of Kangchenjunga.
Shamim, another tourist who came from Dhaka, said that he had come to Tentulia earlier with his wife and children but could not see Kangchenjunga. But, he and his family are very happy now this time.
Shamim said that after leaving the brick-and-stone city of Dhaka and visiting Tentulia in Panchagarh, the green and lush nature, clean air and silence of nature fascinated us. That is why we are attracted to visit Tentulia in Panchagarh every year.
Locals say that if the sky remains clear, the view of Kangchenjunga could be seen very clearly during the period from October to December every year. But this year, due cloudy sky, it was frustrated.

When Kangchenjunga is visible from Bangladesh: Having six seasons in Bangladesh, Kanjanjungha could be seen more or less throughout the twelve months if the sky is clear. However, it can be seen better throughout the months of October to November.
Places from where Kangchenjunga could be seen very well: Kangchenjunga could be seen from several places in Panchagarh city and Tentulia upazila. For a close look with the naked eye under the blue sky, anybody can witness the enchanting scenery from Tentulia Picnic Corner, Zilla Parishad Dakbungalow, Old Bazaar Mahananda Park, Kabinjarul Bypass Intersection, and the northernmost Banglabandha land port on the Bangladesh map.
Other places of interest in Panchagarh and Tentulia: About 18 kilometers from Tentulia Sadar, Banglabandha Land Port Zero Point and weekly BGB-BSF retreat parade, Tentulia Dakbungalow, Tentulia Old Bazaar Mahananda Park, Big Billa Hatifansa Bomb, Plains Tea Garden, Tea Factory, Bombay or Kanjan Bamboo, Tentulia Model Mosque, Ilove Tentulia Rubber Garden, Ancient Shiv Temple, Rawshanpur Minabazar. Besides, in Panchagarh Sadar, there is Stone Museum or Rocks Museum at Panchagarh Government Women's College, Himalaya Park, about 20 kilometers from Sadar, Board Bazar Maharajar Dighi, Mirzapur Shahi Mosque, Atwari Baro Aulia's Shrine.
Transportation to Tentulia: Long-distance night coaches from Dhaka, Hanif Enterprise, Shemli Enterprise, Dhaka Express, Kantiparibahan, Burimadi Sleeper, Shemli Sleeper Coach, Dhaka Sleeper Coach regularly travel to Tentulia from Banglabandha. Apart from this, you can take Ekta Express, Kastalayan Express, Panchagarh Express train from Kamalapur Railway Station and get off at Panchagarh Station and take a local bus to Tentulia. Due to various obstacles of Panchagarh District Motor Owners Association, no direct day coach bus service has been started from Dhaka to Tentulia-Banglabandha yet. These night coaches and sleeper buses can be used for a fare of between 1,000 and 2,000 taka. Apart from this, a local bus from Panchagarh city to Tentulia can be taken to Tentulia Dak Bungalow for a fare of 80 taka. Later, you can visit the tourist attractions by riding a local auto-van or easy bike. It would be better to make a rental agreement by the hour before getting on the bus.
Accommodation: Tentulia has not yet developed sufficient residential facilities for seasonal tourists, both government and private. The Zilla Parishad Old Post Office Bungalow, Picnic Corner Bungalow, Roads and Highways Department, Educational Engineering Department Bungalow, Tentulia Model Thana Bungalow, Bonbit Bungalow, and Berang Complex. Officials and employees of various government departments book these government residential bungalows a couple of weeks in advance to stay overnight. As a result, even if ordinary tourists have a strong desire to stay in those bungalows, they cannot stay. However, privately, residential hotels are located around Tentulia Sadar and can be rented for a night ranging from 1,000 taka to 4,500 taka, depending on the quality.
Food Hotels: There are several food hotels and tea shops around Tentulia Chowrasta Bazar. In these hotels, you can eat local food, vegetable stews, various types of bhadras, etc. for 100 to 150 taka per person. In addition, since the winter is a bit more severe in Tentulia, you can enjoy the taste of various types of red tea, including local cow's milk tea, at Baroi Tola Halim's Tea and Faruk's Tea Shop. These hotels are usually open from 8 am to 1 am. Tourist Safety: Tentulia is a safe travel area for tourists. The common people here are very hospitable. Along with the common people, the government law enforcement agencies are on patrol around the clock in white clothes and khaki clothes. In addition, there is a tourist police outpost under the Bangladesh Tourist Police Panchagarh Zone. The Tourist Police patrol team always works to provide security to tourists along with keeping them informed.
