Tourists flock to Bandarban during Eid holidays

Bandarban, known as the daughter of the mountains, has come back to life after being hit by the pandemic for two years in a row. Due to the continuous Eid holidays, it is now full of tourists. Tourists are now spending their time enjoying the beauty of nature. 

Tourists are flocking to Meghla, Nilachal, Shailprapat, Nilgiri, Devtakhum of Roangchhari, Bagalek of Ruma, Tamatungi-Ngafakhum of Thanchi to enjoy the beauty of nature.

There are many places of interest. However, among the few tourist spots, Nilachal, the state of clouds, is famous. Here in the monsoon season, i.e. on rainy days, the beauty of Nilachal takes on a completely different look throughout the area. After light rain, rows of clouds float in the distant sky at the top of Nilachal. Seen from the top of the hill, it looks like a game of hide and seek with the clouds. At this time, the mountains seem to get new life, all around is covered with green cover. Tourists are flocking to Nilachal to see the natural beauty wrapped in greenery all around and especially to touch the clouds up close.

On the second day of Eid, various tourist centers were visited and a large number of tourists gathered. Adib Barua, who works at the ticket counter of Nilachal Tourist Center, said that 22 hundred tickets have been sold till 5 pm and he hopes that more tourists will increase from 5 May.

Sukumar Thanchangya, who is in charge of the ticket counter at Meghla Tourist Center, said that hundreds of flour tickets were sold today (May 4) and expressed hope that more tourists would come tomorrow.

Talking to Nilachal Tourist Center, he said that he came to visit Bandarban with a team of 12 people from Dhaka with businessman Md. Omar (55). Businessman Rahat Hossain (34) has come from Dhaka to visit his wife in Bandarban. Md Moin, who runs a business in Dhaka, has come to Bandarban with his family this Eid.

Talking to Sanjeev Biswas, a government employee, about visiting Bandarban three years ago, he said that he came from Barisal with a team of 10 people to his family. The mind wants to come again and again. Rajib, a teacher of Bangladesh Border Guard School and College, came to Bandarban with his family to spend Eid holidays. Asked how he saw nature, he said nature is always as beautiful as pictures. When asked, he said that he wants to visit the natural scenery of Bandarban again and again. He added that it would have been better to provide more entertainment. Bandarban Tourist Police Inspector OC (Officer-in-Charge) Md. Jahangir Alam said, "Under the leadership of Bandarban Tourist Police Superintendent of Police Md. Abdul Halim, awareness rallies have been organized in various tourist spots with tourists and tourism related people. Moreover, mobile numbers of law enforcement agencies are provided in every tourist center. If tourists have any problem so they can contact quickly. Therefore, the tourists who come on Eid holidays will be able to travel happily without any hindrance, he said.

Bandarban Zone Tourist Police Superintendent of Police Mohammad Abdul Halim said that there are several days off for Eid-ul-Fitr. He said adequate security has been ensured for the tourists.
