Popular musician Topu became the father of his first child. Najiba Selim, his wife, gave birth to a daughter at a private hospital in the capital on Tuesday (October 1). After the birth, both mother and daughter are healthy, said Topu.
The girl's name is 'Tori'. The name is derived from his popular song 'Ek Paaye Nupur'. The song had a line - 'Tomar Chhoto Tori Bolo Nebe Ki'. The name was decided by Najiba Selim right after Topu and Najiba’s marriage.
Topu and Najiba got married on August 24, 2012.
Regarding becoming a father, Topu said, “The feeling of being a father is totally different. There is a weird sense of happiness that takes place. In fact, after being a father I realize how hard it was for our parents. Anyway, I urge everyone to pray for my daughter.”
The new father is busy in doing stage shows and making new songs. Also, other than this he has also been seen acting in various films.
