Top three teams Bashundhara Kings (The Kings), Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club (Yellow Fear) and Dhaka Abahani (The Sky Blue Brigade) strongly hold their position in the points table in the second phase of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Defending Champions the Kings earned 40 points with 13 wins and drew one from 14 encounters. They are still unbeaten.

Teams Coach Oscar Bruzon predicts that the team will retain the title this season. He expects better performance from the players. The players will show their best on the ground. Kings have another 10 encounters. There will be ups and downs in the points table.

Bashundhara Kings have a good position now but it does not mean they become champion. Long way to go.  Kings depend on their three Latin super stars Robinho, Becerra and Fernandes. Specially, first two of them scored 14 and 13 goals respectively.

Three-time champions, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club is in the second place in the points table and they collected 29 points from 13 outings with eight wins and drew five outings. Yellow Fear netted 34 goals and conceded 17 till now. Shafiqul Islam Manik side is not lost any proceedings and unbeaten.  However, the team is 11 points far behind from the Kings, the league leader.

AS Kings depend on Latin trio, while three Gambian striker are the main striker for Yellow Fear. Forward Pa Omar scored 13 goals from 13 matches.  The other two strikers Suleiman Sillah, Solomon King Kanform can make any change in the match and the opposition always fear to these forwards.

Six-time champions and once the powerhouse of the local football Dhaka Abahani rank third position with 29 points after 14 games. The Sky Blue Brigade won eight outings and shared five matches, lost one game. Coach Mario Lemos knows that it is very tough task to clinch the title. He expects the players will show their level best and hope that to become champion. Abahani won over Borthers Union by 5-2 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) on last Monday.
