The Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) arrested top listed terrorist and vice-president of the Dhaka Metropolitan unit of Jubo League Gias Uddin on Thursday morning.
The media wing of the DMP said Gias Uddin is accused in at least nine cases filed with different police station in the capital city of Dhaka. He was arrested on Thursday morning from Mirpur of the capital on Thursday morning.
As per the case documents, Gias and his associate Rashed Sarwar led the attacks on the students’ crowd during the July movement. After August 5, he changed his position and joined hands with Kafrul's top terrorist Nurul Islam Babu alias Lengra Babu and there are allegations of various robberies and looting.
