Bengali films have been gaining popularity internationally in recent years. In April, the first Bengali film released in Pakistan was Jaaz Multimedia's "Mona: Jinn 2." Now, another film, "Toofan," starring Shakib Khan, is set to hit Pakistani theaters. The production company, Alpha i, has confirmed that the film will be dubbed in Urdu instead of Bengali to cater to the local audience.

“Toofan” has received its censor certificate and will be released nationwide on November 1. Posters for the film are already displayed in cinemas across Pakistan, along with other international movies. Producer Shahriar Shakil shared a video showing these promotions, expressing his excitement for the release. Earlier, on September 13, "Toofan" was released in Hindi in Bihar, India.

The movie tells the story of a young man named Ghalib, who becomes the gangster Toofan. It also features a junior artist named Shanto, who faces many challenges. Toofan, recognizing Shanto’s struggles, invites him into his world for his own advantage.

Directed by Raihan Rafi, "Toofan" showcases Shakib Khan in a dual role, along with actors Nabila from Bangladesh and Mimi Chakraborty from West Bengal. The cast also includes Chanchal Chowdhury, Shahiduzzaman Selim, and Gazi Rakayet.

The film premiered in Bangladesh during the last Eid-ul-Azha and has also been released in the United States, Canada, India, and various Middle Eastern countries. Since last month, “Toofan” has been available on OTT platforms Hoichoi and Chorki.

In other news, filming for Shakib Khan's new movie "Borbaad" starts today in Mumbai, with Khan joining the shoot next week. This action-packed film also stars Idhika Paul and is directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy.
