Tony Michael Gomes, director, technical programmes of World Vision Bangladesh, has won ‘Chanakya Award 2020’ for his outstanding contribution to public relations and development communications.
The Public Relations Council of India honoured him at the 14th PRCI Global Communications Conclave in Jnana Jyoti Auditorium at Bangalore University of India On March 06.
This year, the theme of the event was ‘PR Beyond 2020’. Mr Tony talked about global media trend and its behavioural impacts and countering fake news.
Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar attended the event as the chief guest of honour, says a press release. Also present at the programme were Chief of Indian Army of Bangalore Maj Gen Rajendra Yadav, Justice Nagmohan Das and Miss Bangalore Deepali Bhat, among others.
