Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt reunited on the red carpet at the London premiere of “F1,” their first public appearance together in 31 years. The two actors last starred together in the 1994 film “Interview With the Vampire.”

Cruise made a surprise appearance to support Pitt’s latest film, a high-speed racing drama directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also directed Cruise in “Top Gun: Maverick.” The reunion excited fans and sparked nostalgia for what might have been.

According to Kosinski, he initially planned a version of the racing drama starring both Cruise and Pitt. The actors were even ready to perform their own driving scenes. However, the project was cancelled due to budget problems. Later, James Mangold directed the 2019 film “Ford v Ferrari,” starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale.

During the premiere, Pitt joked with E! News about the possibility of reuniting with Cruise onscreen again. He said he would prefer a film set on the ground rather than one involving risky stunts like hanging off airplanes, a reference to Cruise’s famous action scenes. “When he does something again that’s on the ground, then yes,” Pitt said.

Meanwhile, Tom Cruise’s recent film “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” continues to do well at the box office, earning more than $540 million worldwide.

The film “F1,” produced by Apple Studios and Warner Bros, is scheduled for theatrical release in June. Fans are eager to see this high-octane drama on the big screen and witness the energy that brought Cruise and Pitt back together after so many years.
