TMSS donates 65 decimal land for Tourist Police office in Bogura

In the Birth Centenary of Bangabandhu, non-government organisation TMSS donated and handed over the document of 65 decimal of land to set up Bogura Divisional Office of Tourist Police following a discussion meeting entitled ‘Safe Tourism at the vital-centre of Northern region Bogura' at Hotel Mom Inn at Naodapara of Bogura on Thursday evening. 

TMSS authorities further assured that if necessary, aiming to set up a panoramic divisional office to attract foreign tourists, more land will be donated to create a hub of Tourist Police of the northern region. The office of Tourism Police will be set up at the beautiful scenic environment surrounding the Karoatoa river beside TMSS Mom Inn Pleasure World. 

Presided over by TMSS Deputy Executive Director Dr Matiur Rahman, Chief guest Fazlur Rahman, DIG (In-charge) of Tourist Police Headquarters at the discussion meeting said, Tourism plays a vital role in the economic development of a country. 

There is excellent potential in flourishing tourism in the Northern region of the country. Since all seven factors of flourishing the Tourism prevail in the Northern region, TMSS is proceeding with a hundred-year of planning which aid to benefit in the development of the nation and the country, specially, the Master Plan centring the hospital and the medicare services will play role in flourishing Tourism. 

Presenting the research statistics on Tourist Police, he said, the Tourist Police were beside them in flourishing the tourist industry.

Among others, the meeting was addressed by Police Super (Planning and Operations), Tourist Police Headquarters Dr. Ashrafur Rahman, Director of Padma Oil Company KM Enayetul karim Helal, Managing Director of The Dhaka Hats Ltd. Sheikh Jahangir Alam, Rajshahi Divisional Forest Officer Dr. Abdul Awal, Executive Director of TMSS Professor Dr. Hosneara Begum and Deputy Executive Directors of TMSS Abdul Kader and Matiur Rahman respectively as special guests, TMSS Advisor Izar Uddin, Human Rights activist Anowarul Islam Bachchu, TMSS Member Professor Dr. Hasnat Ali, Curator of Dr.Enamul Art and Cultural Academy Professor Nazrul Islam while Police Super( Planning and Operations) Police Headquarters Dr. Ashrafur Rahman presented information on Tourism Police Bangladesh in the meeting.
