In the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2021-22, an allocation of Tk 4,032 crore has been proposed for the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. This allocation is Tk 344 crore more than the proposed allocation of Tk 3,688 crore in the last financial year.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Thursday presented the proposed budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year in Parliament. The finance minister has proposed to allocate Tk 4,032 crore for the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
No separate incentive has been allocated for the civil aviation and tourism sectors. However, people involved in this sector, which was facing huge financial losses during the corona pandemic, had been demanding incentives for a long time.
However, the number of beneficiaries under the 23 incentive packages has been revealed in the proposed budget. In Table 2, the Finance Minister has proposed an allocation of Tk 40,000 crore for providing working capital facilities to the affected industrial and service sector companies. Organizations in the industrial and service sectors that are ongoing will receive incentives from this allocation.
