Advocate Fariduzzaman, a member of the District Lawyers' Association, organised a press conference at Joypurhat Press Club on Sunday, focusing on allegations of cheating involving approximately Tk 3.5 crore against a couple residing in Joypurhat town.
During the press conference, Adv. Fariduzzaman claimed that Abu Hena Ful, along with his wife Selina Akhtar and father-in-law Anwar Hossain, from Natunhat Sardar Para area of Joypurhat town, had deceived around Tk 3 crore in collaboration with a fraud syndicate.
He also mentioned an incident where he himself fell victim to a fake cheque scam, losing Tk 5 lakh.
Furthermore, Abu Hena Ful was accused of swindling millions of Taka from locals by promising government and private jobs through fraudulent means.
Despite filing multiple cases against the alleged fraudsters, they remain unpunished.
Abu Hena Ful, in fact, is promoting himself as influential by distributing visiting cards claiming to be a member of the Bangladesh Awami League's sub-committee on religious affairs in Joypurhat.
In response to these events, Adv. Fariduzzaman demanded immediate legal action against Abu Hena Ful, his wife, and brother-in-law, urging the authorities to recover the embezzled money. Alongside the lawyer, fraud victims Farhana Mushtari, SM Rashedul Hasan, and Jewel Hossain were present at the press conference.
