Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) fined 17 vehicles Tk 28,000 during a drive on Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway in Lohagara area of Chattogram against unfit vehicles and unlicensed drivers on Tuesday.
The mobile court of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) conducted drives in Lohagara area of the district and imposed a fine of Tk 28,000.
Lohagara Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nazmun Layel led the drive. Chatta Metro-2 Circle Motor Vehicle Inspector Md Shahadat Hossain Choudhury, District Circle Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector Abdul Motin, Bench Assistants of Divisional Office Al-Farhad and Emil Chakma were present during the drive.
During the drive, unfit vehicles and drivers were fined for not having valid driving license. Two riders were also fined for not wearing helmets. Police personnel of Lohagara Police Station assisted the drive.
