Tk 15 crore distributed as SME loan in Gaibandha

TK 15 crores had so far been distributed as small and medium enterprise (SME) loan to 100 entrepreneurs of the district to run their business activities smoothly.

This was disclosed by Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Bangladesh Small And Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) also Member Secretary of SME loan distribution monitoring committee in its 5th meeting held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner (DC) today with DC Abdul Matin in the chair. DC Abdul Matin urged all representatives of the banks to search proficient entrepreneurs and to distribute SME loan with nominal interest to push forward the SME sector towards desired destination.

A total of 15 representatives of different commercial banks including Sonali, Rupali, Agrani, Islami bank participated in the meeting.

Talking to the BSS AGM of BSCIC Shah Mohammad Junayed said, the entrepreneurs are to pay 4% interest and the concerned bank is to pay 5% interest against the SME loan.
