Tigers need courage to face Indian challenge

Published : 01 Nov 2022 08:29 PM

Tigers can be ambitious to be one of the semi-finalists after prevailing by three runs thriller against Zimbabwe when they will take on India, one of the top contenders to win the ICC Men’s T-20 Cricket World Cup 2022.

The match will take place at Adelaide today at 2pm (BST).

No doubt it will be a high ambition for the Tigers to cross the stiff hurdle of India, as it’s like a mission impossible for them (Tigers).

But there is no limit to have a dream to make success any of the mission, though it is very realistic that in all respects Indian team are always a far ahead of Bangladesh to get hold of them and too good for Bangladesh to take their challenge.

However, Tigers just have one advantage that they will play the match without any pressure, as they have nothing to lose, when India would have some pressure, as it will be almost a must win game for them to move into the last four.

However, in three previous matches run chases were proving trickier for Bangladesh when on both of their winning occasions they have batted first, and their success after setting totals reflects a significant run.

Meanwhile, in their opening match, Tigers batted first against Netherlands and scored 144 runs and won the match by nine runs and won the third match against Zimbabwe. But in the second match against South Africa going to chase a target of 205 runs Bangladesh were all out for 101 runs.

Tigers had to toile through much of their in all previous three matches, and among all the players few could shine when the captain Shakib Al Hassan is on top to show some of his brilliance to lead from front.

As ever in the all matches, is also optional and on this occasion all the players opted in they were free to decide what to work on. But there was no fizzle of excitement around team’s training camp, no sense of nervousness but looked growing anticipation among the Tigers that needed much. If anything it leaned the way, batters batted intensely, many of the bowlers also bowled passionately and everyone seemed in a fair minded.

Today’s match in Adelaide, to win or at least to have some thanks, Tigers will have to be a step ahead of the opponents, whatever they are stronger sides.

They will have to play with whole-heartedly rather than be conservative, as the opponents (India) are more aggressive side and have firepower to be able to do demolish any team of the world.

Bangladesh, so far were impressive with their bowling performances to restrict the opponents in the matches they won.

A day out from the previous game that could either all but end their all hope or completely redefine their tournament today.
