With a lot of high hopes to regain the some of the their prides with doing respectable results, Tigers were scheduled to departure Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka on Friday night 11:55 pm for Christchurch, New Zealand.

The Tigers left Dhaka for New Zealand to play a tri-nation tournament on their way to Australia for upcoming T-20 Cricket World Cup.

This time Tigers’ New Zealand tour have a big significant, as it is not a bilateral series against the hosts New Zealand but  they will have a great opportunity to play a tournament against the teams who are also among the favourites to win the World Cup.

Ahead of their World Cup mission in Australia, if Tigers would win or demonstrate challenging cricket against the strong opponents, Pakistan and the hosts New Zealand who are very much capable to be champions, would be a huge boost up for them (Tigers).

It is a long time Bangladesh cricket team is going through a tough time when after a long time they broke the series winning draught after a 2-0 victory over UAE, which is an inspiration for them before to leave the country.

Bangladesh won the matches in UAE in absence of their captain, the most vital performer, team’s motivator Shakib Al Hassan. Certainly the team would be highly encouraged with having their captain Shakib Al Hassan, who is expected to join them in Christchurch before to start the tri-tournament.

Whatever controversies are with Shakib Al Hassan, it’s a plane truth that he is the most valuable player and the team’s great motivator, he is the player, on whom a team can depend on, so the accompany of Shakib Al Hassan is no doubt a great boost up for the team and

Bangladesh will play their first match on October 7 against Pakistan in Christchurch and their next matches will be on 9, 12 and 13 October against New Zealand and Pakistan respectively.

Tigers have only success in New Zealand of winning a Test match early of this year, when they are yet to taste any win in any format against New Zealand at their ground. But this time, Tigers left the country with different objectives when the tri-nation tournament is a preparation for their World Cup mission.

So they will have no pressure in this tournament but it will be a fine-tuning of the team combination, to have a perfect batting line up a dependable opening pair and overall bowlers will also to have their perfection.
