Just before the World Cup begins, Bangladesh captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza has to think of himself and his teammates' injuries.

Mashrafe was limping on his way back after the India match. The reason is the tremendous pain in his legs. One leg already had a hamstring injury. In that match, the injury had taken into another leg. Mushfiqur Rahman and Mohammad Saifudddin have also been injured in the preparation match.

Mashrafe was suffering from hamstring injury in the tri-series in Ireland. There was uncertainty in the preparation match against India. Before the match the conditions of his foot felt a little better. There was also a need for some practice.

Though Mashrafe wasn’t called for play in the warm up match against India before World Cup, but he played and got injured. He got injured in left leg’s hamstring while his sixth over was ongoing during Tuesday. After that incident, he got out of the field.

On the last tri-series, he got injured in right leg’s hamstring. Now he got injured in another leg. It’s a bad news for the Tigers before World Cup.

Doctors give suggestion to take rest more than five or six days on that kind of situation. But Bangladesh will play against South Africa in 2 June. Only two days in hand but Mashrafe wants to play from the first match.

Tamim Iqbal was also injured in thigh during fielding in the match against India. Although it was nothing serious, the left-handed opener did not play the match as a precaution.

Physio Tihan Chandramohan observed Mashrafe's condition after returning to the hotel after the match. In these cases, the physios usually advise to rest for 5-6 days. The captain, who has been suffering from a lot of injury, will try to be fit. But for several days he may not be able to practice properly. The Tigers skipper is also concerned about the injuries of others.

After the first spell of 6 overs against India, Saifuddin could not bowl. At the end, he was supposed to have at least two overs. But he left the field in the back pain. He had to take pain killer at the field. He was not on the team in all the matches due to injury in the tri-series in Ireland.

Mustafiz bowled very well on the first spell against India. He probably needs more time to bowl consistently at speeds of 135 to 140 kilometer.

He also suffered injury in calf muscle during the second spell. However, it was not that serious. Mahmudullah also cannot bowl due to shoulder injury but there is no serious worry. He did practice in the nets though.Shakib Al Hasan just came back to the back muscle injury. Rubel Hossain is also recovering.
