Tigers go down after fighting

Tigers suffered a five runs defeat after demonstrating fighting spirit against India in a crucial match of Super 12 stage of the ICC Men’s T-20 World Cup on Wednesday.

Held at the Adelaide, in a rain interrupted match, after India setting a 185 run target for Bangladesh to win, in DL method, Bangladesh was given a revised target of 151 runs to win but despite going very closer, Tiger finally conceded the narrow margin win.

After winning the toss, Shakib might be taken right decision to field first, as it was again from Taski Ahmed was very impressive start with opening the Bangladesh bowling when he conceded just one run in the first over and in his second ball of the second over about to make the break through.

But Hassan Mahmudu at deep back ward square leg dropped the catch of KM Rahu when he trying to hit a flicked for six off a short-of-length ball delivery on off stump, ball went straight to Mahmud but failed to keep the ball in hands.

At one stage, before Litton’s run out, rain also raised hopes for Bangladesh win when the match was stopped, in DL Method, Bangladesh was ahead of India by 17 runs, at that time Bangladesh scored 66 runs for none in seven overs.

After Litton’s departure, none of the batters could mend the damage when Shanto, Shakib, Afif Hossain left the pitch in a regular interval.

After restart the match with Bangladesh was 67 for no wickets in 7.1 overs but they reduced to 100 for four in 11.5 overs when Shakib Al Hassan got out scoring 13 runs off 12 balls and no expectation left for the Tigers to win the match, only  Nurul Hassan and Taskin Ahmed could reduced the margin of defeat.
