Tigers capable of winning matches but need moral courage

Published : 22 Oct 2022 09:03 PM

Ahead of the Tigers’ campaign in the ICC Cricket T-20 World Cup misperception with their achievement looming large among the concerned people.

The muddle in fact cropped up after the Tigers’ continuous tolerance of suffering from defeats for last one year and just ahead of few hours before starting their campaign mystification amplified more among all.

But a large number of experts still believe that Tigers have the ability to bounce back strongly to do well in the World Cup when they think that their (Tigers’) lacking is in application and moral courage but not in aptitude.

Though cricket is a team game but two or three players are enough to change the feature and Bangladesh have obviously have those kinds of characters, who can carry on the responsibility.

If we have a look to some of our players, have to go along with that they are very much capable to throw challenges to any team and can also be the winners, if they can appear with their real characters.

First of all, Shakib Al Hassan, who just reclaimed the world’s number one spot of all-rounders in the T-20 format, if he could lead the team from front with keeping up his usual performances Tigers would have their the expected result.

There is no doubt that Shakib Al Hassan is a great threat for any of the team of the world, as he is very much enough to demolish the batting side and as well as bowling department, if Taskin, Mustafizur Rahman and Mehidy Hassan, Shoriful Islam or Ebadot Hossain can assist him a bit, no matter to win any match.

Though Bangladesh suffered defeats in all four matches in the Tri-nation tournament in New Zealand, Shakib shined with his performance when in the match against the hosts, made a 44-ball 70 and followed up with a 42-ball 68 against Pakistan.

The batting line-up of the Tigers also cannot be overlooked at all, Litton Das is the first wicketkeeper-batsman in Bangladesh considered as a long-term successor to Mushfiqur Rahim.

The hard hitter batters also on his day turned into a great threat for any bowlers of the world and enough skilled to bring the team one handedly to a stage.

Young Afif Hossain also has the caliber to face any of the top bowlers in the world. He is able to take the responsibility at any tough moments of the team.

Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Soumya Sarker, whoever among them would have the chance to open the innings are also talented to be worthy indeed, as they are also experienced enough to play in the big occasion and to face the pace prodigies in world cricket.

Team can expect some encouraging games at the middle from, Yasir Ali, Nurul Hassan Sohan and Mosaddek Hossain when all of them showed some of their competence in the past.
