Throat-slit body recovered from paddy field in Jashore

Police have recovered a throat slit body from a paddy field at Dakshin Kayarpara village under Chaugachha upazila of Jashore district on Monday.  

Miscreants hacked him to death with a sharp weapon, later the body was covered with a paddy tree (bichali) in the paddy field.

The deceased was identified as Pikul Hossain, 38, son of Sakhawat Hossain of Dakshin Kayarpara of Chaugachha. 

The victim's father has mentioned the names of Shariful (21) and Ariful (18), Saddam (25) of the same village and has filed a murder case against 3/4 unidentified people.

Police recovered the body and took it to the police station around 12:30 pm.  Chaugachha Police Station OC Rifat Khan Rajib confirmed that it was sent to the Jashore General Hospital Morgue for autopsy on Monday. 

Sakhawat Hossain, the father of the deceased, said his son went to the paddy field from home after having lunch on Sunday.

After the evening passed, the family members started searching for him as he did not return home.

At one stage, at around 10:05 pm, the locals went to their paddy field and saw the Pikul's deadbody. After informing the police station, the police went and recovered the body.

There are signs on the throat of sharp weapon injuries on the body of the deceased."
