Three Rohingya youths held with BD passport

Chattogram Metropolitan police arrested three Rohingya youths in possession of Bangladeshi passports from Kattali area of the port city, reports BSS.

 The arrestees were identified as Mohammad Yusuf, 25, his younger brother Mohamamd Musa, 21 and Mohammad Aziz alias Aiyaz, 24, residents of Thaingkhali Rohingya camp in Ukhia in Cox’s Bazar district, MostafizurRahman, officerin-charge (OC) ofAkbar Shah thana.

 Acting on a tip off, a police team of Akbar Shah thana carried out a raid in Kattali area around 11pm on Thursday and challenged the youths for their suspicious movement and asked about their identities. During primary interrogation,the detainees confessed that they managed the Bangladeshi passports showing themselves residents of Shenbagh area of Noakhali with the help of a Rohingya and a Bangladesh broker. They were attempting to go to Turkish Embassy in Dhaka for visa purpose, the OC said. A case filed with Akbarshah thana in this connection.
