A Mymensingh court on Thursday sentenced three people to life in imprisonment for killing a woman in 2002.
The convicts are Abdul Malek Khan, Abdul Hai Khan and Abdul Qayyum Khan.
They are residents of Char Anandipur village of sadar upazila.
Special Sessions Judge of District and Sessions Judge Court of Mymensingh Md Shahadat Hossain handed down the
verdict.
The court also fined them Tk 10,000 each, in default, to suffer one year more imprisonment, bench assistant at the court Md Abdul Haque confirmed.
He said that Taslima Khatun was killed by the accused in Char Anandipur village of sadar upazila on November 8, 2002 over enmity.
Later, a case was filed with the Kotwali model police station following a complaint lodged by the victim’s uncle Abdul Latif.
