Three persons have been arrested in a case filed over the rape of a 29-yr-old woman in Kushtia's Kumarkhali upazila.
The arrestees are Md Quddus. Robin, 21, Masfikur, 19, and Russell, 20, of the upazila.
The incident happened around 8:30 pm on Wednesday in a jute field of Bujruk Bakhoi village of Nandanalpur union of the upazila.
Locals rescued the victim and took her to the police station around 1:45 am. Later, the victim filed the rape case at the police station.
Kumarkhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Akibul Islam confirmed the matter.
The accused confessed to the incident during primary interrogation. They were produced before a court on Thursday, said the OC.
If anyone else is involved, we will bring them to book, he said.
